HiPi enters an increasingly crowded user-generated short video market in India, following the ban on TikTok. HiPi will compete with the likes of Roposo (50 million downloads), Mitron TV (10 million downloads), Chingari (3.5 million downloads), and others. Unlike TikTok, which caps lip-synced videos at 15 seconds, HiPi videos will be over a minute long. It will be free to at the start. Although, HiPi’s ad-supported format could give way to a subscription-driven service integrating it more closely with ZEE5.

Yes, I am too so excited for HIPI. This is a very good initiative by Zee5 to introduce HiPi which has replaced tiktok. And this really looks so good video creation platform launched by the ZEE5. They are really doing some great job
ZEE5’s HiPi will definitely be a useful short video platform for content creators in India at least. With TikTok out of the equation, this could be a huge opportunity to leverage for HiPi I believe.
Nice to know about such nice platform to showcase the talent of people. Was not aware of this. Zee5 always comes with something new every time
