Just in case you have been out shopping looking for the perfect outfit for an easy transition out of your spring wardrobe, I release my first summer clothing idea perfect for 2019. Here is an answer to all of your summer wardrobe woes. As the temperature keeps on rising, your clothes need a quick seasonal update. It is that time of the year when your faux fur jackets hit a corner in your wardrobe. Ladies, take out the hottest of your swimsuits.

Your mind might be stuck on that perfect trusting and breathable summer dress that hit the racks of your favourite store, even as you read this article. I know you need the perfect summer dresses and camisole tops. But this summer, why not think beyond it? This year seems to bring along with it, a plethora of options to choose from. There are decades to look for just the inspiration you need.

If you are heading out to a puja and need to carry the traditional aura along with you, here is exactly the outfit you are looking for. In case you are back home and are visiting your folks and relatives, this could totally work out for you. Other than that, if you just wanna be OTT for one day of work, try out this look. This outfit of mine also makes up for the perfect street style.

I brought a cotton sari from Onnyorong. It is a Kolkata-based brand curated especially for the city’s changing weather. The collection is designed in a way that is efficient throughout the day, from office to party.  With prices starting from Rs.1500, it is available at the brand’s boutique in Kolkata. The brand literally means ‘a different colour’ because of its muted and earthy colour palette. Designed especially for the Kolkata heat, there is nothing more trust-worthy for the summers.

I brought a sari that was yellow and red with traditional Bengali-style thread work. To make it trendier, I added a black belt to it. Belt Saris are a trend that I’m all in for. Started by Sabyasachi himself, it adds modernism without taking the tradition away. However, a sexier waist will always be on top of the pros list. To complete this look, I added heavy gold jewellery. An entire set of earrings, bangles and the necklace. When it comes to makeup, I decided to go nude. A pink nude lipstick was a perfect match with this outfit. Kohl-eyes were a must.

As we start this summer pledging ourselves to think outside the box and beyond summer dresses, let’s explore new horizons. Stay tuned for more out of the ordinary look books this summer.
