It was a warm Sunday afternoon when we all were invited to a lunch by Courtyard by Marriot! I was elated to go there, frankly who would not?

Courtyard Hebbal is situated right opposite to the beautiful Nagawara lake also known as Lumbini Gardens, a fame of Old Bangalore. Yes! Old Bangalore has not lost its charm or its lakes. They are still scenic and beautiful. Who can refuse a view like that? Apart from that, Courtyard Hebbal plans for private boat rides to make your stay memorable and give a glimpse of the original beauty of the garden city!
Yes yes, I’m coming to the infinity pool!
Courtyard Hebbal has a mind-blowing infinity pool, which will sweep your feet off the ground. The beautiful view and the moist wind that blows right on your face acing through the infinity pool is insanely relaxing and one-of-a-kind experience. The spa is right next to the pool, anyone who wants to take a day out and relax, this is the place. I still can’t get over the fact of the wondrous infinity pool, and if not for the event, I just wanted to jump into the water right away, yes, it’s that tempting…trust me.
Apart from this, the Courtyard, Hebbal totally comprises of 188 guest rooms including 102 delux rooms, 77 executive rooms, 6 junior suites, 2 executive suites and 1 presidential suite. All the rooms have high speed wireless Internet, iHome, minibar, tea/coffee maker and a laptop compliant safe that helps you work with a relaxing atmosphere.
All about food now…
- The Hebbal Café is true to its old Bangalore style. The Kitchen is built in such a way that you can experience and see what’s getting cooked. I remember when I was a little kid, my mom would be cooking in the kitchen when I used to be partially hungry. The hunger would increase 100 folds when she prepared the seasoning and the masalas and even before the food is completely cooked I would want to eat. The aroma would fill the house, and on a similar concept this Hebbal Café is built, where you don’t have to wonder if your chef has started making your dish, you can see right through and get the aroma. It’s one of the most beautifully designed spaces that I have seen and Mr Gaurav Anand, the head chef knows his ball game over here. He is a man of creativity, the food was laid out in an articulate manner that, you would obviously start with the dessert, oh I mean salad! (silly me :P). The menu runs down to the breads and various starters and soups displayed very thoughtfully. Mind you a whole lot of hard work and creative mix has gone into the designing of this beautiful kitchen. You can choose whether to go the North Indian way or the South Indian and go gaga over the food platter that’s laid out to you! It was one of my fond moments when I could try all the dessert, yes, I’m back to desserts.
- B’lore 45 – The Bar
I’m sure all of you were waiting for this one, the bar is right opposite to the huge spread on the same floor of Hebbal Café. That means you can have a fun filled evening with food and drinks together in the same vicinity. - Nazaara, The much anticipated, signature roof top restaurant. Are you wondering what’s so special about this? This roof top restaurant is having the beautiful view of the Nagawara lake aka Lumbini Gardens. Imagine a cosy, breezy romantic evening, over-looking a beautiful lake and the finest north-west frontier cuisine. I would call it a day if, I had that view and such delicious food! This restaurant is under construction, and hearing the excitement of General Manager Shiv Bose, I could see the glitter in his eyes.
- Glazed – It’s a café or more like an executive lounge where you can have your meetings with a view. I know, the view is the most important feature of this place, I’m not saying you can mesmerise your client meetings with a view, but maybe I am. Water is generally soothing to human beings; therefore, this is one of the best destination for your business meetings.
