Bollywood and Hollywood have influenced us so much in every inch of our lives, isn’t it?
A girl would want to have a destination wedding, in goa or In Italy seeing the beautiful and dainty décor, the way they portray how one should dream about a wedding, or for that matter they teach us how to dream and make it happen.
Whether its travel or taking up an adventure, it’s become an important part of our lives to see dream achieve it and go around the globe, experience different cultures and have like 100 stamps on the passport and proudly say that ‘I am a Traveler’ and show it off to the world, all of it is inspired from Movies.
This millennial generation is made to dream, and they have been experiencing and seeing the dreams coming true, and we all know that if we work hard enough we would surely achieve these, one of those dreams of mine was to wear a famous designer-wear.
When I joined my Design Grad school, we all read about the famous Fashion Gurus of India Like JJ Valaya, Ritu Kumar, Manish Arora and so on. I would always dream that when I pass out of college, I would work so hard that one day I would be able to wear designer clothes and flaunt it around.
Then off late there is a new trend in the society that how many times can you repeat the same clothes? Being a blogger it’s like even more difficult to wear the same clothes again and again. Then Bham! All my worries were sorted, I know there are umpteen number of rental websites available online, all of them have different collections.
But DATE THE RAMP caught my attention, why? Obviously, they are renting out designer-wear? Is’nt it like the coolest thing that can happen to girls??
I mean I was elated, when I checked their website, they have like all the top fashion designer’s clothing listed up, mind you its not that easy to get them on such affordable prices. They have designers like Ritu Kumar, JJ Valaya, Anju Modi, Shantanu & Nikhil, Satya Paul, Namrata Joshpuria, Mandira Bedi, Malini Ramini Iyer, Pallavi Mohan and soo many, many more that if I keep mentioning it would be a horrendously long list.
Date My Ramp’s Phillosophy is to make the journey help everyone experiences Designer Fashion, how thoughtful, and they would want to change the way fashion is experienced.
Then what did I order, or let’s say whom did I order?
My first outfit is Black Strappy Gold Ornamented Top from Ritu Kumar (yelps with joy)
The Kurta came in a Beautifully Packed Box, in butter like those designer lables, oooh! how I felt like a celebrity.
Talking about the outfit 1:
I wore the Strappy Embroidered top with a Black Pallazo with a gold Border from Westside. I have added some elements of Indian nature. The earrings and the sunglasses. Its styled in a manner that, anyone can wear this and go to the family parties and Dinners, or even a friends Sangeet. Its such an easy styl that no one can go wrong wearing this Ritu Kumar Piece, Slay it with all the swag!
Outfit 2 :
So I picked up this Satin Orange shirt from JJ Valaya, it has oriental Print and gold embroidery on the mandarin collar. I know the tangerine orange might be a little too bright for some of the people, but I love the pop orange and how it brings out the true color of me.
Anyone can style this up with a denim, but I wore it with a black pencil skirt, It can be a Casual office wear of you like the beautiful color, and a party wear at night due to its playful tones. For all those who like pop brights and like to stand out anywhere this is the perfect pick.
I hope all of you enjoyed reading the article. I would love to get feedback on the same.
