Sustainable Process
Indian Textiles use the art of weaving. This generates the least emission, doesn't tamper with the natural raw material, does not waste water and are by far the most sustainable textiles in the world.
Sustainable Dying Long before chemical dyes came into being, India has been pioneering organic flower and vegetable based dyes.
Indigo flowers give indigo dye, turmeric for yellow colour, madder leaves, sappan wood and other such varieties along with beetroot for shades of red.
Catechu/Cutch for black and brown. The flora and fauna are versatile in colour.
Khadi - Khadi gained popularity from Mahatma Gandhi. It is internationally acclaimed for sustainability. Technically khadi refers to any fabric which has been hand spun.

Kalamkari art and printing makes for great rugs and comforters. Some of the Indian grass products are unique.
