For all the regional language buffs here is a new emotional thriller on ZEE Originals! It’s all about how a bold bong beauty has taken up the cause of saving her son no matter what! Women are capable of doing everything and this series has already proved it in the first season.
Kaali 2 is all about women empowerment! After a super successful first season, web series Kaali is back with Season 2. It will launch on 27th March 2020. And the good thing about this season is that they have made in a Hindi language that was missing in the last season. Zee5’s first Bengali web series ‘Kaali’ had been an undeniable superhit when it was released back in 2018. This was the series that marked the debut of Paoli Dam.
The petite Bengali Beauty was appreciated by the critics for her spectacular performance in the first part of Kaali. In the upcoming series, Kaali will discover herself as a bold, formidable woman who knows how to keep and use secrets. It is a nail-biting thriller, coupled with tension, action and drama where she emerges from a state of a quandary to a state of a fearless, daunting woman who knows to stand for herself. It is an interesting celebration of power, femininity and motherhood.
Rahul Banerjee, Shankar Debnath and Shantilal Mukherjee complete the cast who headlined in Season 1. The fans are eagerly waiting and extremely thrilled for the well-received show, which is back with the next season.
Kaali Season 2, a crime thriller series, is featuring a bigger star cast with the addition of Abhishek Bannerjee as Jin Liang Aka Shona, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Chak De India actress Vidya Malvade as Officer Gupta. Aritra sen is the new director this season and Parambrata Chattopadhyay is continuing as the producer of the show that will keep one hooked to the seat.
In Kaali 2 trailer, it’s seen that Kaali is a single helpless mother who tries her level best to make ends meet and gives massages to ladies. She stays with her son Sunny and parted ways from her husband as he was involved in illegal activities. One day her son is kidnapped by the notorious villain Swapan played by Chandan Roy Sanyal and she has to go through a lot of struggle to save her son through various tactics. She gets caught by cops but Kaali manages to escape. She gets into trouble before saving her son. On the other hand, a criminal escapes from the prison and a drug consignment reach the city. Few people try to take advantage of Kaali and how she deals with such people is tremendous. Kaali falls into a trap of mafia and finds difficult to return. Kaali is caught amidst the gang war and reaches out to her only place of hope. Baffled by betrayals and innocent deaths, Kaali turns into a fierce woman from a beloved mother who mends her way to learn the skills of survival in this battle.
Filled with hope, courage, danger and betrayal, Kaali 2 is a multi-layered show that will give you jitters as it progresses towards the climax.

This looks like an amazing movie. J heard about it but since it’s in Bengali I didn’t watched. Will suggest this to my bengali friends.
Sometimes a review is intrigues me more than a trailer. This is one of those, I was never intrigued to watch this series, but after reading your take on it, I thing I just might binge watch it.

Zee 5 has some excellent content right now. I wish I can watch this one.
The first season of Zee5’s crime thriller Kaali came way back in 2018 and the series received a modest amount of interest from the audience. Created and directed by Rohan Ghose and Aritra Sen, Kaali 2 takes forward the protagonists’ journey and exposes the underbelly of Kolkata with newer drug kingpins which seem to be the savior of the show. For the unversed, Kaali revolves around a mother’s efforts to save her son from dying, and Kaali played by Paoli Dam will go to extreme lengths to do that.
