Okay people, Today I want to share my experience on the treatment I have been undergoing with Dr. Janet at Cosderma Clinic. She is one of the best dermatologist I have known in all my years!

This post is no way sponsored, it’s a review on my experience over a year’s treatment. I have been a sports person all though my school and college life and hence I would be prone to extreme acne and sunburn! I was already the ugly duckling with braces and used to think who is gonna have a crush on me ? who knew I would be a fashion blogger in a few years?

I wish I knew the concept of sunscreen to vouch by it, whenever I left home. But I did not care about my looks back then and obviously it was my teenage days. Later on, seeing a lot of people having extremely smooth skin and glancing through the magazines and the movies, I wanted it too!

So, I started trying all the home remedies – haldi, chandan, neem, apple cider vinegar, everything. I don’t say they did not work, just like people tell you to go to a doctor when you get fever instead of just doing home remedies. Same principle applies here, do go to a good dermatologist. Finally, I took up the courage to go to a dermatologist, you would think it will cost a bomb to do anything with a dermatologist! But no, it’s always better to go to a doctor rather than listening to your parlour lady!

I know a lot of times when I have listened to my parlour lady and done different types of facial, my skin started breaking out even more! So getting back to the topic, what is that I did and what are the results?  So, there is this thing called chemical peels. A chemical peel is a technique used to improve and smoothen the texture of your skin. Facial skin is mostly treated, and scarring can be improved. Chemical peels are intended to remove the outermost layers of the skin. The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

If you see my pictures of 1.5 years ago and compare them with the current ones, you can see a huge difference in my skin and the pores have minimised to a great extent. Plus look at how smooth it is! These pictures are without make up ! All I wanted to convey to my fellow friends is that, peels are not expensive nor are they dangerous. It’s way better to get a chemical peel done than going for facial where they use unknown ingredients.

Hope you guys are convinced about my personal opinion, do let me know if any of you would want to know more on the same.

i have a acne prone skin…have lot of acne marks on my face… I am planning to opt chemical peeling procedure….. can u tell me what all common side effects will be there aftr this treatment…..can we apply basic make up like cc cream on our face aftr the same treatment.

    • Hi, your skink will become sensitive, also before taking a decision please consult a dermatologist, they will suggest if you need a peel.
cc creams should not be a problem but keep your skin moisturised all the time

  2. How much is the total amount costed for you and for how many sessions? Doctor has advised me to do chemical peels but cost is bit expensive. So just wanted to know how much it costed for you in total.

  3. Hello Aishu,
Thank you for sharing the process. I had my chemical peel in Beverly Hills and it took roughly a few weeks for the peeling to finally end similar to you. Thanks again for sharing, reading this makes me want to go again!
