Now that the festivities are over I wanna go on a holiday. Not like the normal ones again man, may be Hawaii! Are you gonna say yeah right dream on girl? Ha, I just wish I win some travel contest and win a trip to Hawaii, how cool would that be?

Diwali is over and did you guys realise that suddenly the rains have stopped, hope it stays the same way or else Bangalore roads go so crazy! I wish they re-tar the roads or may be provide teleportation or Aladin’s magic carpet! I don’t even feel like going near the road anywhere! But I sure want some vitamin-sea, need some beaaachhh, I mean beach vibes bro!

HAWAAI OR ALOHA ?
Now that it’s all about beach, why does it just remind me of Hawaii? Am I crazy or something, why not Goa or Pondicherry? Ahhh! That’s because there is this tropical print dress which I recently got from I Know Studio, which has been giving me major holiday goals.

By the way do you guys know why the Hawaiian shirt is famous?
This particular type of shirt is not originated in Hawaii, it’s inspired from Japanese kimono, and it’s not as busy a pattern with such bright colours like we all would think of! In Hawaii, tropical print is more subtle with muted colours, and they wear it as formal wear! Woaah! Right??? These shirts are often printed on the interior, resulting in the muted colour on the exterior, and are called “reverse print”.

How to style the bold Tropical Print?

For a lot of people Bold prints are really difficult to wear, and a lot of people are confused how to style it, here are some tips and tricks to help you!
1. Choose the right Tropical Print
2. Parameters to choose: The patten can be bold, but not with more than 2/3 colours
3. If the pattern is very busy go for a monochrome or a single colour
4. If the pattern is not so busy but the print size is big you can go upto 3 colours
5. After choosing the right print, yes it has to be soothing to the eye. Tropical prints can look soothing if styled well!
6. Make sure that you are not adding too many accessories in contrast colours. It will disrupt and cause clutter on the wearer.
7. Tropical Print itself is pretty bold and there is no need to add anything to it
8. If you really want to accessorise like mine, go ahead with one single colour which is not present in the print, I advise only on the monochrome print
9. The rest of the accessories should be in muted tones – matching or almost similar to the print colour (like muted tans or off-white that goes with everything)
~ Voila we are done, it’s not difficult!~

How have I styled?

My Tropical Print has 3 colours – Teal Green, Black and White. Therefore, I choose a yellow neckpiece which would stand out, not making me look like a complete joker. Apart from that I have added a sunglasses which is in the blue-green family, and an umbrella which is also blue, plus a light blue sling. These colours don’t disrupt the look. I have added off-white wedges with a hint of navy blue again. All the accessories I have used are complementing each other.

So go ahead peeps and do buy a tropical print maxi dress, it’s not too difficult to style it!
